Issyk – Kul (which is the Kyrgyz for ‘Warm Lake”) is sometimes called “Pearl of Tjen Shan”. The lake is said to be the world’s
second largest alpine lake after Titikaka in South America. It is situated 1600 m above sea

level and reaches a depth of 695 m, folded between the Kungey (Sunny) Alatau to the north and the Terskey (Shadowy) Alatau to the south. Both ranges rise straight way to over 4000 m.
We will depart from Bishkek at 7.00 or 8.00. The road will take about 4 hours by highway through Boom Pass to Issyk-Kul region (250 km). Upon arrival we will have sailing trip around the lake (for about 2 hours). Barbeque will be served on the boat.
After that we will visit local history museum and stone inscriptions (II b.c.). This historical site just north from Cholpon-Ata is said to date from 500 BC – 100 AD. They depict wolves, long-horned ibex, goats, horses, snow leopards, sacrifices and some hunting scenes.
During this trip you will get acquainted with history, culture, traditions and surely you will get relaxing time - whether private or social.
